EDUCATION
It is the goal of the Mark Price Foundation to assist in the education process
of our children. In today's world where education budgets on the state and
local level are being slashed it is important for outside organizations to help
by providing alternative options to address those education elements which are

We are in support of Zach’s Resolution.
Zachary Janneberg, age
16 was killed in a single car accident on his way to school on March 20th, 2007.
Zach had only been driving for 3 months. He had taken an on-line course of
study so that he could pass his DMV written test and then enrolled in a private
driving school where he received about 6 hours of professional behind the wheel
training.
Investigators
at the scene of the fatal accident offered a lack of experience as a possible
cause.
Chuck
Taylor, Zach's grandfather has begun an effort to put drivers education back in
California high schools and is asking groups, clubs, governments and individuals
to sign it. Taylor will then take the mandate to Sacramento and request a
change in our states driver education laws....

COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT
What does your community need to make it a better place to live? At the

much you can count on government to provide. In actual fact, to make our
communities all we want them to be it takes all of us, working together.

We
have also begun to support the efforts of a few large cat sanctuaries. It
is important to us that the sanctuaries have an education element; there must
be, as part of the ongoing effort of the sanctuary, a component which provides
education to the community on large cats generally as well as the specific needs
and concerns which exist as a result of keeping animals such as lions & tigers
in captivity. We are following numerous pieces of legislation on both the
Federal and State levels such as S1415 (the "Captive Wildlife Safety Act") which
deal with "Wildlife Safety" & "Canned Hunts". One of the sanctuaries we've
supported is
Big Cat Rescue in Tampa Florida.

ELDERLY JUSTICE
The Mark Price Foundation supports efforts to strengthen elder abuse legislation
and inform elders of their rights. There are two bills working their way through
Congress, HR2490 in the House of Representatives and S333 in the Senate. These
two bills are entitled the Elder Justice Act and they have been in committee
since 2003. It is our hope to work with states and jurisdictions to develop
practical and enforceable laws and procedures to help address this growing and
often overlooked problem. To this end we have formed a subcommittee to focus on
these and related issues. The Citizens against Elder Abuse subcommittee is
committed to making a difference. Its members and / or advisors include a
retired judge, a retired police captain, an active assistant district attorney,
